Module 4 - Medical Documentation
The importance of documentation from a clinical and non-clinical perspective will be stressed. Medical encounters will be defined and medical reports will be explained. Participants will be instructed on what to look for in the medical record.
 
Indications for Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) will be explained and differentiated from a comprehensive office visit.
 
   
  After completion of this module, participants should be able to:
    • Be familiar with what actually occurs in a typical medical encounter
    • Understand the typical abbreviations used in a medical report
    • Read electronic medical records
    • Know what information to look for in medical records
    • Recognize the need for Independent Medical Evaluations  
     
  Once you start the module, you will have 10 days to view it. The module can be viewed numerous times if you choose. Each module has been segmented to make it easy for viewing stopping and starting. Simply click the timer bar to stop and start.
   
  An exam will be made available upon completion of the webcast. Once you begin the exam you will have 24 hours to complete it.
